Welcome To the Faces of Death Fleet Rules and Policy Thread!
These rules are strictly enforced and there is no tolerance for breaking these rules and policies. Due to inactive players and players not following policies we are forced to enact the new stricter policies. We want to maintain a high standard for FOD and set the standards in NF. We cannot do this without everyone following these policies and it will not be tolerated any further for not complying with them. There are not many to follow but they are important.

If you refuse to allow the officers or enforcers to do their job you will be expelled from the fleet. There will be no one going renegade on this matter. If you refuse to follow and respect the chain of command you will be expelled from the fleet. Show honor and respect to your fleet mates and chain of command.
#2 All Members will be signed up on the forum and be active on the forums. You must check the forums at least once per week and if you do not post at least once in 30 days you will be removed from the fleet for inactivity. Squad leaders you have 1 week to get your new members on the forums. Please do so asap!
All posts on the forum are monitored. Any Flaming or disrespect will not be tolerated and will be promptly removed from the site with a 30 day ban for the first offense and a permanent ban for the second. Anyone perma banned from the forums will be dropped from the fleet. Once again I am not talking about the joking around we do this is for people going out of their way to pick on someone. Any offensive posts by anyone will be removed by our site admins if there are complaints or the post is offensive in nature.
#3 All members must at the minumum be a listener of Ventrilo. This is the main communications for meetings, battles, and trainings. It is important for everyone that you are part of the teamwork therefore it is a requirement to be on vent. If you cant be on it then please dont attend trainings and battles we dont need someone that cant follow directions. There will be no members allowed to be inactive on vent as off 1-11-09. Members having permission before this date can stay in the fleet but from that day forward no one will be allowed to be in the fleet without vent. If you are in the game you are in vent. Squad leaders you have one week to get your new members on Ventrilo. Please do so asap!
#4 Ventrilo Admins - Squad leaders. Enforcers, and Officers will be given admin rights. DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS! If you decide to abuse this right it will be taken away and not given back. No one else is allowed to have these rights.
#5 You must sign up on the Clan Community Section on the Navy Field website. This shows how strong our fleet is and is the only way to be able to take part in the clan wars. If you are not registered there you will not be able to take part in the clan wars.
#6 Loans : Fleet policy is a minimum of 30 days before loans will be given out. Too many people have taken advantage of this and left before repaying loans. So since a few bad apples have ruined it for everyone else I am afraid I have to add this one. Squad leaders may have a longer time frame it is up to them but the minimum will apply. Loans are given out of the radio man funds so please donate to the radio man as often as you can. A little everyday adds up and we also need this fund for Harbor Assaults. As well if you give a loan to a player whether it is sailors or credits FOD will not be responsible for that loan.
#7 No member shall at any time be disrespectful of anyones sex, religion, race, creed, sexual orientation, or language. We have alot of members here from many different nations so lets respect each other. Any infractions of this will be grounds for dismissal from FOD and will not be tolerated. This is not to discourage the joking around this is for the people who deliberately go out of the way to tease or argue with someone for who they are. NO FLAMING ON MY FLEET! All Leaders and Squad leaders are aware of this rule. This goes for Vent or the Forum or the game!
Please respect all players in the game. Show you have some honor and things will go well for us. Represent your fleet with pride. We discourage arguing and flaming anyone including our enemies. Lets not stoop to their level thats what screen shots and the mods are for. Lets set the standard in NF.We are Growing big enough now to be a very large force to be reconned with. Once you get large you either set the standard or become the Ass of the game. This will not happen to us. Keep your standards high, Watch who you let join, and be aware that not everyone is your friend in the game and might be gunning to make you lose your cool and get you banned. Remember you have all of us to back you up. We are here for fun and not the drama we have better ways of dealing with trouble makers.
#8 Any one caught TK, starting something with another fleet, or making us look bad on somone else's forums will have to pay a fine to the radioman and will be placed on 30 days probation. There is no reason for you to post on someone elses forum, refrain from doing so. If you want to read them so be it but do not flame if they are flaming us it does not do anything but cause trouble. Constant abuse will lead to being kicked out of the fleet.
#9 Az And Ny Fleet policy - It is the policy of this fleet that if you are in the Az or Ny FOD fleet you cannot be in a diff fleet on the opposite servers including Miss side. This compromises fleet information and can lead to problems regarding the diff fleets. So there is no problem being in the AZ,NY, or Miss sides as long as you are in FOD on all the sides.
#10 If you leave the fleet without warning you will be banned from coming back to the fleet. We work hard to make our members feel at home and feel this is complete disrespect to our fleet. If you want to leave have the respect to tell us. If you leave properly and want to come back you only get one chance. If you decide to leave again then you will no longer be allowed to join the fleet.
#11 There will be NO trading of accounts allowed in this clan except if approved through MORT and two squad leaders. It is not an allowed deal in NF and to prevent any problems in our clan and NF as long as you are part of this clan you are not allowed to trade accounts unless it is approved by MORT and two squad leaders. There are reasons for this and it involves removing the name from the fleet and all the fleet activities. It isnt just trading involved there is alot on our end that has to change.
#12 Sharing accounts is also a bannable offense in NF. If you choose to share your account with another FOD player the risk is all yours. This includes borrowing items from other fleets as well. If you get something from another player or give something to another player in another fleet we will not be responsible for getting anything back. We discourage borrowing from other fleets. DO NOT RUN TO NF WITH A PROBLEM. DO NOT RUN TO FOD STAFF WITH A PROBLEM. WE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND IF YOU GO TO NF THEY WILL BAN YOU AND THE PLAYER THAT USED YOUR ACCOUNT. FOD will NOT be responsible for anyones account.
#13 All Information in the forums is copyrighted to Faces Of Death. Anyone who shares information from the forums, what is said in meetings, or on Ventrilo will be dropped from the fleet. What is said here is for members only and is not for anyone else. Trust in one of the most important issues to me and this fleet and breaking that trust is immediate expulsion no excuses.
#14 DO NOT SELL PREMIUM ITEMS IN NF. This is a bannable offense and FOD will not be responsible if you make a room and try to sell them. Selling to our members is ok just dont advertise in NF about it or sell to other fleets.
#15 Executive Officer Meetings ~ At least 3 EO's and a Fleet Commander must be present to vote on topics. Executive meetings are open to EO's only.
#16 Fleet Meetings ~ All members are urged to attend. Topics for this meeting will be discussed and voted on. If you are not there to vote then dont be upset or complain that you dont like the outcome of the votes. Members are required to come to mandatory meetings. There will be 4 mandatory meetings per year unless conditions warrant more. If you do not attend mandatory meetings it can lead to your dismissal from this fleet. These meetings are important. No exceptions. There will be times when you cannot make a meeting due to real life so please just give us a heads up so we can fill you in on what happened. If you miss two mandatory meetings without giving notice you WILL BE DROPPED form the fleet.
#17 Fleet Ribbons ~ The fleet ribbon program is set up to reward and show members who has attained a high honor in Faces of Death Fleet. If you recieve a ribbon you will be allowed to wear it in your signature. Please follow the ribbon order posted on the forums. Anyone caught wearing ribbons who have not earned them will be asked to remove them from their signature and be put on 30 day probation. This is a high honor for FOD and will not be taken lightly.
#18 Respect your fleetmates ~ Show respect and do your best to acknowledge them when they come into rooms or vent. Try to play on the same sides as other members and if you do get seperated have fun killing each other in the game of course! lol. We have a good bunch of guys and gals here and can be good friends if you let them. Any disrespect to members can be grounds for dismissal.
Training and Fleet Scrims
#1 Clan Scrims, HAs, Practices, Etc.
A. ALL Members participating in any of the above are there to learn or play by the rules set forth. If you are online and we have a registered scrim you will be available to play in the scrim or you will be placed on probation for non support of the fleet. We have over 100 members and there should be no reason why we cannot get the required members to play these scrims. IF YOU ARE ONLINE THEN YOU WILL BE IN THE SCRIM SUPPORT YOUR FLEET NO EXCUSES. Please do your best to be in the setup room 1 hour before battle so we can be ready for the battles.The last minute preperations are killing us and affecting game play. This will not be tolerated any longer.
B. No goofing off. We are there to play the game seriously to learn or to win!
I want to put our name on the board and I want to win but I also want to have fun doing it. Most of you have expressed interest in doing other kinds of battles so lets get serious so we can compete at the high level we can achieve.
C. When practices or battles are being held there will be one person on each side controlling the fleet. All talking will be kept to a minimum to allow for directions to be given. Only important tactical info will be allowed to be discussed during the battles. After the battles reg talking may resume but while in battle the battle com will be active.
D. Practices may be called by any of the Squad leaders at anytime. In order for us to be better prepared for battles in reg rooms and the bigger battles we need to try to attend these practices. Practices will be held when we have the most players online. This can be unscheduled as well as scheduled.
E. If you do not wish to participate in these practices then don't be surprised when you are not asked to join in the battles. Also if you do not have ventrilo to least to listen in do not attend the practices or the battles. If you cant hear to follow directions we wont need you to participate. This is key for the fleet survival in the game to hear the tactics and in game directions.
#2 All Trainings are to be held in area 18 and 19. This is the only area NF has approved for training purposes. If you are caught doing them in any other area be advised this is your warning we will not be responsible for your actions or punishments received from NF.
#3 VENT ALERT! When on vent, If any of us happens to acquire, or come across a fleet battle against us, as long as it is to be held immediately, can call a 'vent alert'. For this, a member calls out vent alert vent alert vent alert. Anytime this is announced, all members stop all chatter. The caller then announces the battle, where, with who, and all on vent respond. Immediately upon the call of the alert, other members look for members on other channels, and bring them up to the main. A commander of the battle is appointed among those who are on, ie. Badman, Mort, K35,etc. A command officer is preffered. No one else speaks until the commander opens the channel by say-so. Once in the battle room, the only chatter is of finding members, and by the commander setting up the ships and the battle. All players involved in the battle are moved at once to a battle channel for the operation. All members are to check radioman for other members in-game, but not on vent, and to send them messages for the battle. Once in the battle room, all members are to follow the commanders orders. This is a 'war' situation, and should be treated as such. If told to get a certain ship, get it at once. If unable to, say so, and the commander decides what to do. Orders are followed as best as can be, within reason. With the ever-more common occurance of us being challenged to these by other fleets, I believe an emergency call such as this is needed. One more thing, a message is to be posted asap by someone appointed by the commander into the forums. This is NEVER to be abused, or joked about. If any member calls an alert which is false, he faces a 2 day forum ban, and a fine of 500,000 credits. This is not negotiable, or removable. If the fine is not paid to one of the 3 fleet commanders or the 3 fleet seconds within 24 hours of the occurance, he faces expulsion from the clan. This is to be taken VERY seriously, not used as a joke to get someone to stop talking.

POLICIES:
These policies are a little stricter for new members than in FOD because we want to make sure that we have a committed group. Loyalty is important and if you stay through your initial probation then it shows us alot about who you are. So please read these and follow them. Thanks MORT
1. There is a minimum 30 day probation period.
2. There is a 3 strike your out policy in your 30 day probation period.
We will be watching you for teamwork, Sportsmanship, and game play {tks and such}
3.NO FLEET LOANS DURING YOUR 30 DAY PROBATION (DON'T ASK)
You may loan credits to each other while in FOD but be advised we will not be responsible if you loan credits and someone bails on you. We have had to many problems in this area so this rule stands.
4. You must take and active part in the forum and the ventrilo.
There will be no excuses in this. This is how we communicate since we are all in diff time zones,countries, etc. Ventrilo is how we communicate during the game. If you have no mic then you can always listen. No one is exempt from ventrilo after 1-11-09 except players with prior permission. After 1-11-09 there will be no more permissions to be off of vent.
5. There will be no and I mean no bashing of any players in FOD or NF because of race, sex, or nationality. This is an automatic ejection from this fleet and you will also be reported to NF. We have players from all over the world, all ages, both sexes. If you cannot handle the people we have in this fleet feel free to leave ASAP.
6. If you decide to quit before your 30 day probation period is up you will not be allowed to rejoin at any time. And yes we do keep track. If after you have joined and decide that FOD is not for you then have the respect to say so and ask to leave. You will then have the option to rejoin at a later date if you find the other fleets do not offer what you are looking for.DO NOT JUST QUIT. We understand if you decide to leave and will not hold it against you.
8. When the time comes for your probation to be up, you will then be voted in by the Fleet and Squad leaders.
You will be voted in on 4 topics.
A. Teamwork - how well you have worked with your fellow FOD members.
B. Sportsmanship - You must have shown good sportsmanship even if someone tries to pick a fight. You are setting the example in this fleet.
C. Compliance - You have used the forum and ventrilo efficiently and have made postings.
D. Ability - You must show that you have the ability to use the ship you are in and that you can aim with guns and torps, can work in maneuvers with teammates, and have a good overall ability with it.

These are all the policies and rules for Faces of Death Fleet. If you disagree with any of the rules or policies please feel free to put in your resignation. We do not have many rules but we are strict to the ones we have. We reserve the right to modify these rules as we see fit. Please sign a post to acknowledge you have read and understand these rules.
